why 36 atps instead of 38 atps​

Explanation:

According to some of newer sources the ATP yield during aerobic respiration is not 36–38, but only about 30–32 ATP molecules / 1 molecule of glucose , because: ATP : NADH+H+ and ATP : FADH2 ratios during the oxidative phosphorylation appear to be not 3 and 2, but 2.5 and 1.5 respectively.

Yes there is formation of 38 Atps in total by calculating 2 direct Atps from glycolysis, 2 Atps direct from krebs cycle and 34 Atps from Ets. As we should keep in mind NADH2 and FADH2 which is formed in glycolysis and krebs cycle forms ATP in ETS cycle. So 36-38 Atps are formed. Even though we consume 36 Atps,2 Atps act as a extra energy for us. Hope it helped u
