Why abscisic acid is considered as a growth inhibiting hormone?

Abscisic acid is considered as a growth inhibiting hormone as it does not contribute in thegrowth of the plant. instead it promotes wilting of leaves and inhibits cell division. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.............. :)
