Why after second delivery controlling weight become problem?

Hi ladies! Question for any mamas of two. My husband and I have started talking about trying for a second babe within the next few months, and I'm conflicted for a reason I'm kind of ashamed of. I had a great first pregnancy, gained a normal amt of weight and exercised throughout, and after a couple of weeks I felt like my body was pretty much back to normal, as far as fitting into my old clothes and looking/feeling how I did before pregnancy. However, I have heard and read that just because your body rebounded quickly after the first pregnancy doesn't mean it will be the same the second go-around. I've heard people say their body was "ruined" after the second baby. Now, I'm not one to say that a body is ruined because of some stretch marks, saggy skin, or extra weight-our bodies are incredible things! But I can't help feeling concerned and afraid of what my body will be like after two babes. What were your experiences? Did you feel like your body changed a lot after two as opposed to one? Had my first just after I turned 27, I'm 28 now, would be 29 at the time of second baby.
