Why algae is present in stagnant water bodies are green in colour?
akshu2411:
Stagnant waters exposed to sunlight turn "green". This is because they have raw minerals in the form of salts of N, P and K etc. These are nutrients and airborne spores of the algae get into water sooner or later and turn green due to algal growth.
