Why aluminium are used to reduce metal oxides like fe2o3?

the metal uron is present in form of its oxide in the ore.it is heated with carbin to obtain the metal and the metal oxide is reduced,bjt some metal such as aluminium couldnot be reduced from its oxide as it is more reactive .so aluminium is used
