Why animal such as cows ,buffaloes have developed appendix but human do not?

The appendix is considered as an organ especially for mammals from ancient time.

In earliest times it was seen present in marsupials and placental mammals that shows the existence of appendix in mammals from ancient times.

The main function of the appendix is to digestion the plant matter.

Thus human don’t need such a system in them as they have a more intense system i.e digestive system for the better digestion process.

Animal such as cows ,buffaloes have developed appendix but human do not develops appendix because human are mostly omnivore and feed on both animals and plants and doesn't require to digest starch while in the other hand cows, goats and buffaloes mostly feed on plant product and they need to digest starch. Hence they have developed appendix.
