alveoli are the smallest air sac like structure s I our lungs.they are one celled thick and are surrounded blood capillaries.the gaseous exchange at lung level takes place through the diffusion process.

HENCE ALVEOLI ARE THE MAIN REASON FOR GASEOUS EXCHANGE...
