CNIDARIANS OR COELENTERATES:

  1. Cnidarians shows polymorphism. Polymorphism means exist in two forms different in shape, structure.

2. The two forms POLYP and MEDUSA

3. POLYP is sessile(not moving remain in the same place attached) and cylindrical shaped whereas MEDUSA is free living and umbrella shaped.

4. Example for POLYP is Hydra and example for MEDUSA is Aurelia or Jellyfish.
