Why are color blindness' and thalassemia categorized as mendelian disorders?

Mendelian disorders include genetic disorders caused by alterations or mutations in a single gene as in colour blindness and thalassemia. It is agenetic disorder which is inherited from the mother. Most of the colour blind people haev red or green colour blindness.

Mendelian disorder are those which are considered as genetic deffects or passed eventually in the family.
as colorblindness and thalassemia are the genetically deffects as they are present from the time of brith . that's why they are categorised as mendelian disorders.
