We know that metals are good conductor of heat and electricity.

And copper is a very good conductor of heat. So cooking utensils are made of copper at the base as it will allow her to pass through it and will help in cooking easily. And copper is a great conductor so it transfer heat evenly and spread it all over the cooking utensil very accurately as compared to only steel. Hence, cooking of food will be very easy and nicely..
