Copper is a good conductor with second least resistivity i.e 1.69 * 10 raise to -8

As resistivity is low the energy used is more in transferring electricity than in producing heat.
Therefore, Copper is used for electrical fitting.
Silver has the lowest resistivity, but due to high cost it can't be used
