Dowry is considered as a bad system now but in earlier times it was very usual so by continuing this process many people also carried it on to their generations ...but in between the 70's the mindset of people began to change and they actually started to refuse dowry but this lead to many malpractices against the women from exploiting her to killing her .....this was taken into consideration by the SC and The Dowry Prohibition Act was passed ......hence Dowry System is Inhuman
