Answer:

Because they are originating and primarily controlled by the earths interior processes. The majority of energy that causes them are generating deep within the earth. Since the ground is in constant motion, the natural interior forces that cause the earth to move and deform are called endogenic forces . “Endo-” meaning within, and “-genic” meaning origin. Folding and faulting are also endogenic forces. The effects or results of endogenic forces are the endogenic factors. They are the results we see on the surface. Volcanos, earthquakes and so on. So any terrain with a morphology that is primarily influenced by these things is being formed by endogeneic processes. Hawaii, the high Himalayas, Iceland are all examples of places where the endogenic processes are the root cause of the landscape.
