why are gases so easily compressible wherase it is almost impossible to compress a solid on a liquid

because in gases there are lager intermolecular spaces and in liquids there are small intermolecular spaces but in solids there are stronger and smaller intermolecular spaces than liquids that's the reason y gases can be easily compressed

ad8551321: Gas have large space in their moliculs so we compress gas easily and water have no more space in their moliculs so we not compress easily and solid have no space so we can't compress solid and we try to compress solid they are break down

✨Gases have large amount of empty spaces inbetween the constituent particles whereas it is fewer in case of liquids and solids...That is why gases are easily compressible...
