why are gases so easily compressible whereas it's almost impossible to compress a solid or a liquid?

gases can be incompressible because of its intermolecular space

RonitKori: my question had clearly mentioned "why gasses so easily compressible" then how it could be incompressible in your answer... kindly guide me.

Gases molecules are free in space they are not packed or tightly bounded like solids so they are easily compressible
