Why are less‑branched polyethylene polymers called high‑density polyethylenes while branched polymers of the same type are called low‑density polyethylenes?

Because due to less branching polymer the polyethylene chains can go close together and form strong bond While in branching polymer the polyethylene chains are far away each other and the bonding is weak i.e why low density polyethylene. Get it
