During the disturbance in ellular metabolism, as an example, when the cell becomes damaged, lysosomes may burst and the enzymes digest their own cell. Hence, lysosomes are also called the "suicide bags" of a cell.

Lysosomes are also known as suicide bags of cells. they contain digestive enzymes, and break down food, cellular debris and foreign invaders like bacteria. in the event that the cell is injured beyond repair, or becomes old, the lysosomes digest the cell, hence it is named as suicide bags of the cell.
