The skin of our finger shrinks when we wash clothes for a long time because the Keratin present in our fingers absorb water and our fingers swell up.

There are two reasons for this.They are:-
1)Our skin of finger shrinks when we do the same, as when we wash the clothes the water around the fingers or hand behaves like hypertonic solution and water starts coming out from finger(cell) to out side region causing the fingers to shrink.
2)The oily substance on the outer layer of your skin is washed away leaving the water able to be absorbed through that layer
