Prairies are the Temperate Grasslands of North America.They are called Granaries of the World due to following reasons -
1) Fertility of soil is high. There is high humus content in the soil due to which the crops get adequate nutrients.2) The climatic conditions is suitable for agriculture.3) With high technology advancement in the region, there is high production of wheat.
