hiii...
in cucurbits ovary is inferior and the thalamus or receptacle grows around the ovary by fusing it's wall in this type all other parts of flower are present above ovary
hence it is epigynous in case of cucurbits...

ovary is epigynous in position it means all parts enclosed ovary hence it is called epigynous
