why birds not get a shock when they are on wire

here is your answer

because wire has a coating of rubber which is a poor conductor of electricity because of this process the birds don't get any shock when they sit on a wire this is a normal case moreover birds have special types of bone which made their legs that are also insulator hence they don't get any shock

Sometimes you might have seen birds sitting on the high voltage electric wires but they don't get shocked.

The reason behind it that the electricity needs a medium to travel and In case of human the blood in our veins works as a medium for electric to travel in our body and we get shock but In case of birds there is no blood in their feet and no medium for electricity to travel. That's why they don't get shock whenever they sit on the electrical wire.
