dia was not invaded by the British. We were colonized by the British.

In 1750, British witnessed a huge Industrial Revolution, due to availability of Machine and Labor etc.

Due to that Industrial Revolution, there was multi fold increase in the production of goods.

British can't sell all the goods within their country, they needed other countries to sell their products and expand their market.

Also, they needed Raw materials for producing goods, which was scare in their country and thus they needed other countries to exploit the Raw materials from.

So, British made settlements in various countries and started their factories to produce goods and created markets to sell them.

India was one such country.

Initially they just came to sell their products and take the raw materials, but they needed the rulers support to do that.

If the ruler did not cooperate with the British, battles were fought to capture their territories. Two most popular battles are the Battle of Plassey and the Battle of Buxar.

Communicate was very essential for trading, thus they introduced English language here.

Transportation was essential for bringing the goods to the port to carry to the British. Thus railways was introduced.

Thus, we can say that we were colonized for economical reasons and our wealth were drained, which was first found by Dadabhai Naoroji.
