1.Light is an electromagnetic wave. It has two components: one magnetic and other electric. The magnetic vector, electric vector and the direction of propagation of light are all mutually perpendicular to each other. Each component is capable of travelling in vacuum.
2.However sound is a vibration, a disturbance produced in a medium which propagates through repeated rarefactions and compressions. Obviously, it does need a medium to propagate.

Hey user !!
Here is your answer !!
____________________________________
☆In vacuum there are no particles that can transfer & carry vibrations so that's why sound can't travel.
☆Light wave are a wave in electromagnetic field.
☆Light wave can travel as they not need any medium.
☆Wave is not interacting at all.
Hope it is satisfactory :-)
