Why ceramic materials are used in high voltage transmission lines?

bcoz ceramic is an insulator and doesn't allows electric current to conduct through it.... it relates with high voltage transmission lines for safety purpose.....hope u r satisfied

Hi friend before knowing the use of ceramic in high voltage wires and equipment ,let us first know what conductors are .
Conductors are materials which posses high resistivity .Which means it has great capacity to resist the flow of electric current . Thus it makes them perfect the material to separate the flow of current from the conductor .They also provide some safety controls and are used in fuse circuits to prevent accidental shocks .
