The mantra provided by Gandhiji, 'Do or Die' inspired thousands of people to participate in the civil disobedience movement. Hence,the civil obedience movement is known as mass movement.

Because in this movement people from all walks of life took part ranging from lawyers to students ,teachers ,etc.People from Muslim ,hindu sectors ....all took part .Takli charkha were now at every house . Women too participated.All were inspired by Gandhi ji dandi March ...n breaking the salt law
