why cloned animals die soon?

They die due to the short telomeres which come from the donor animal during cloning.

Cloned animals usually die young due to lack of telomeres. Telomere is a very essential component that protects the end of chromosome from destruction and also protects from the danger of fusion between other chromosome. So the cloned animal loses all it's telomeres when it is just young and hence dies.
