A convex mirror is not used in the headlights of a car because:
- The beams of light falling on a convex mirror constantly diverge. As a result, it is not employed as a headlight in automobiles.
- Concave mirrors are utilized in vehicle headlights because they allow light to spread out to infinity when the bulb of the headlight is established at the concave mirror's focus (longer distances).
- A diverging mirror is a convex mirror. After reflection on the convex surface, light rays that are close to each other move away from each other, which is not what we desire. As a result, convex mirrors aren't used.
