HYDROGEN BONDING:
♦ The force of attraction, existing between the covalently bonded hydrogen and covalently bonded X(where X is N , O , F) within the same molecule or among the molecules is said to be hydrogen bonding.

♦ When the hydrogen bond exists within the same molecule, then it is said to be intramolecular hydrogen bonding and when hydrogen bonding occurs among the molecules, then it is said to be intermolecular hydrogen bonding.
♦ Hydrogen bond is denoted by dotted lines.
♦ Due to intermolecular hydrogen bonding, solubility increases , boiling point increases.

hope it helps...

A hydrogen bond is a weak type of force that forms a special type of dipole-dipole attraction which occurs when a hydrogen atom bonded to a strongly electronegative atom exists in the vicinity of another electronegative atom with a lone pair of electrons. These bonds are generally stronger than ordinary dipole-dipole and dispersion forces, but weaker than true covalent and ionic bonds.
