The Cripps Mission had failed, and on 8 August 1942, Gandhi made a call to Do or Die in his Quit India speech delivered in Bombay at the Gowalia Tank Maidan. The All-IndiaCongress Committee launched a mass protest demanding what Gandhi called "An Orderly British Withdrawal" from India.
Various reasons given for the outbreak of the Quit India Movement are as follows:

1. Gandhi’s was desperate and wanted to call for “do-or-die” after the failure of the individual Satyagrnha.

2. Failure & Rejection of the Cripps Proposals

3. There was a general demoralization of the Congress leaders.

4. There was a growing demand

Hey friend,

Here's your answer,

1. The Quit India Movement also known as the Bharat Chodo Andolan, was launched at the Bombay session of the All India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 8 August, 1948.

2. The launching of the Quit India Movement was due to the failure of the Cripp's Motion.

3. This movement was launched to give a final blow to the British rule in India.

4. Mahatma Gandhi delivered his speech at the Kranti Maidan marking the beginning of the Quit India Movement.

5. On this place, Gandhiji gave the slogan of 'Do or Die' . This sparked the whole country with the anger for Britishers and they took the resolution to throw them out of our country.

6. After the violent struggle that followed this movement, the Britishers finally decided to leave India. Hence, India got it's Independence on 15 August, 1947.

Hope this helps!!!!
