Why diamagnetic susceptibility is independent of temperature?

It is suggestcd that the large decrease in diamagnetic susceptibility with rise oftemperature in the intrinsic region is due to the decrease in the diamagnetic susceptibility of the valence electrons which is usually taken to be independent of temperature.
