Attending school was turning out to be fruitless for Einstein. He could not resign himself to a system where education was a mindless learning of facts by heart. His honest and straight answers were considered disrespect and arrogance towards his teachers. Moreover, he did not like the place where his lodgings was. It was the slum violence that he hated most. Einstein was afraid that in the end it will turn out that he had been wasting his father's money and everyone's time. That was why he decided to get rid of school.
