The narrator decided to help her sixty two year old grandmother to read kannad language, to get rid of her from her mental agony not to read karmaveera without the help of her granddaughter. Krishtakka agreed and made a deadline to learn reading the language till Dassara. It was her great hard work and dedication to read kannad which made this possible. On that day she bowed down to touch her granddaughter's feet as a respect for being her teacher with deep sense of gratitude to a twelve year old girl. The narrator also gifted her the novel Kashi Yatre.
