Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagara Kingdom-one of the greatest kingdom of India.

If Hinduism is alive the entire credit goes to this Kingdom.

It was very rich, well irrigated, strong army of 18 lacs soldiers, excellent artworks, rich trading activities- diamonds and gems being sold on roads, Highly ethical and dedicated people, dedicated kings - combination of so many other such factors had made Hampi an important city. Now, the ruins of Hampi are tell tale evidence for its past glory
