Why did HITLER committed a sucide?

on 30 april 1945adolf hitler commited suicide along with his wife eva in his bunker in burlin.acc. to testimonies both swallowed cyanide pills and he shot himself in yhe hrad for good measure. their remains burnt in the reich chancellory garden .hitler' s officers warned him that the russians are on the way and that it would take them a day or two to take the chancellory .they urged him to escape to the bavarian alps ta a small town berchtesgarden but he choose suicide .all his reasons for commiting suicide were known only to hitler himself but one can always speculate.
