Why did lencho keep on looking at the sky throughout the morning

Lencho was a farmer. He looked at the sky with the hope of rain, so that his crops could grow. Later in story, he wrote a letter to God

throughout throughout lencho kept looking at the sky as he was waiting for the rain to shower on his field.. but all er the rain started it turned into hail and destroyed his field..
