Maximilian Robespierre (the leader of Jacobin club and Convention government) followed severe policies of punishment and control.Jacobins under Robespierre practiced a policy of severe control and repression..All those, whom he saw as the enemies of the republic ex_nobles, clergy, opposite parties and even his party members were arrested, tried by revolutionary tribunal and were guillotined if they were found guilty..
