Narrator was fond of horse thats why he wanted to keep. Mourad opposed the idea because horse was stolen and his tribe was known for honesty.

The narrator (Aram) has never rode a horse and wanted to learn how to ride. That's why he pleased Mourad to keep the horse till he learn. But Mourad refused saying that I can keep this horse for only 6 months and then I'll return it to it's owner, because Garoghlanian tribe is known for their honesty.
