Narrator met the two boys at the outskirts of city of Verona . The two boys were shabbily dressed . Narrator bought strawberries from them . An instant friendship was formed between them . The two boys were very helpful to the narrtaor as they did all his works during his stay in Verona .

The narrator met the two boys Jacopo and Nicola when they were traveling in the car
they saw these boys in the shabby appearance selling strawberries...
and further running many errands like shoe shining, selling news papers....etc
Moreover narrator met these boys as they were useful to the narrator in
1) telling about good restaurants in the city
2) for getting tickets of opera
3) and these boys brought him American cigarettes
