The people of Jalsindhi village refused to move out of the village because
they were born and brought up on the shores of the River Narmada. They were
staying there all their life. So, even if a flood occurred in the Narmada, they
were not afraid of dying in the river’s waters. So, even if they knew that they
would drown for sure, they would not move out.

The people of Jalshindhi village was living in their village for many years. They did not agree to move out of the village and was ready to die in the village even it cost their life.
Actually, They have been in the village for generation and were satisfied with their living on the bank of river Narmada. This is why they refuse to move out of the village.
