Which poet are you talking about my friend. If it's Robert Frost in the poem The Road Not Taken, then he took a sigh because he regretted his decision taken earlier. He chose the road less trodden by people and which wanted wear and tear. But he didn't like his decision and wanted to take the other road, but this was not possible as one can seldom come back from the road chosen, that is the decision taken in life.
