Why direction of current is frome negative to positive in cell?

Common convention is for currents to flow from the most positive to the most negative node, at least for DC. The direction of current flow for AC signals is somewhat arbitrary, but if you are using the measured current for example to do power calculations, you need to define the voltage and current direction correctly depedning on what you are trying to calcualted
