Indian sepoys are discontented with the British becoz British introduced a new rifle whose cartridge are greased with the fat of Cowes and pigs. and the sepoys are mainly Hindu or Muslim who are against the these cartridges bcoz they had to open these cartridges by bitting the greased portion off

low wages, conditions of working and the grease on the cartridges were made of a mixture of beef tallow and pork lard; eating cows, of course, is forbidden in Hinduism, while consumption of pork is in Islam. Thus, in this one small change, the British had managed to seriously offend both Hindu and Muslim troops.
