fishes require oxygen present in the water along with other mineral which are present in the water for their survival when they are taken out of the water they get oxygen in air which they cannot take by gills so they die

fish is innocent like us he see that no water present so fish weep and die
hehehehe
Gills are richly supplied with blood capillaries and can readily absorb the oxygen dissolved in water. ... When fishes are taken out of water, the supply of oxygen to the fishes is cut as the fishes cannot absorb and breathe using the oxygen present in the atmosphere. Hence, they die after some time.
