why do Kabaddi Players rub soil on their hand. explain

The kabaddi players rub their hands with the soil before the game start, because the soil increases the rough ness and hence  the friction while catching the player firmly such that not to slip.

Usually kabaddi players apply oil all over their body to prevent getting caught by their opponent team. To catch the opponent with more friction, kabaddi players rub soil in their hands.
