Why do meristematic tissues lack vacules?

Beacuse they don't need it. Vacuoles are used to store waste and mristematic cell helps in cell division and so they don't much waste material and so that's the reason why they don't have vacuoles.

Meristem tissue is the one which keeps on dividing which is present in the growing regions of plant.it also h it also helps in the growth of plant this is present at the shoot tip, root tip and when branches arise they are capable of dividing it divides continuously the cells formed from meristems later there differentiate as components of other tissues it brings about overall growth and repair in the plants
