Why do our feet burn when we walk on the ground around the swimming pool on a hot summer day even though the water in the swimming pool is cool?

because the ground absorb heat more furiously than water.hope it help you my friend.

The "heat capacity" of ground is less than water. So ground is always hotter( during day) / colder (during night) than water .
