In Palampur village, approximately 75 per cent of the people are cultivating on the small piece of land because some of the farmers are landless and work on the fields of other rich landlords.

Also, some per cent of the people among 75 per cent have their own land but they have a small piece. Due to the increasing population and nuclear family system cultivation lands are divided into small pieces due to which people in Palampur villages are cultivating on the small piece of land.
