The United States is the most powerful military strength globally today, spending more on its armed forces compared to many of its allies summed together.

Most of the military bases are located in the southern part of the U.S.

This is due to two reasons.

First, the land is far cheaper to purchase.It is to be remembered that the South is not only where many members of the military belong to but also where they live and do professional work.

Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Texas are actually home to a great number of military bases, and if California is taken, then almost fifty percent of the active-duty service members reside in those five states only.
