Why do the doctors administer saline (salt soluction). Only not the sistilled water.

because if a patient coming dehydrated we should give him salt solution and not just filtered water because the person is dehydrated because his salt and electrotnides is lost from the body but still there will be a bit of water that is increased by ors water .
