Himalayan Rivers are usually perennial because they start from the glaciers that seem to melt all over the year.

Therefore, there is no shortage of water happens during the river flow.

Furthermore, peninsular rivers are usually seasonal or imperial rivers because they are regarded as rain-fed rivers & hence flow only when they get adequate amount of water flow.
